COVID-19 in Danville

A Danville man in his 60s is the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the city. That’s according to Dr. Scott Spillmann, director of the Pittsylvania-Danville Health District. He didn’t know if the man was in a hospital or at home. Spillmann told the Danville Register & Bee that he was not aware of “any evidence of community spread.” Officials say a 66 year-old Gretna man died Wednesday morning in a North Carolina hospital where he was being treated for COVID-19.
